Crane cams are very competitive in price. The high roller cams have a multi-index gear which gives the purchaser the advantage of having three cams for the price of one. One position gives you 4 degree advance to usual cam timing which lowers the power band by 200/300 RPM, and another position is 4 degrees retarded of the original timing which raises the power band by 200/300 RPM. Overall, an 8 degree timing range is available with these camshafts for your Big Twin. The FireBall Cams are priced to compete and do not have a multi-index gear, but can be ordered with a non-indexable gear or without a gear. All with gear cams include a full compliment roller Torrington inner cam bearing. The FireBall cams without the gear are designed to be used with your existing cam gear to duplicate the same cam gear to pinion gear lash and includes a simple to use gear to shaft alignment tool. Fast Times® adjustable pushrod kits are engineered to be installed without removing the gas tank or rocker covers. Not only will these pushrods install quickly and easily, they are an absolute necessity when installing any performance cam shaft that has a smaller base circle than a OE cam and/or when using high pressure valve springs. These 7/16" O.D. pushrods are made from .049" wall 4130 seamless Chrome-moly which can easily handle high valve seat pressure. Known the world over for their dependable performance products, Andrews has upgraded their Rear Cam and Rear Cam Drive Sprocket to include the new involute spline that has proven to solve the weak link in the Twin Cam 88" valve train. These are just the front and rear Cam with bearings only. The base circle of these Cams have the same dimensions as the OEM Cams and can be used with the OEM non-adjustable pushrod, but to ease installation and eliminate the need to remove the fuel tank and rocker covers, we suggest that you use our adjustable pushrods.

GEAR DRIVE CAM KITS FOR TWIN CAM 88 - Andrews

These bolt-in type cams are designed for 88ci Twin Cam engines with stock compression using hydraulic lifters.
They are compatible with carbureted or fuel injected models. Note: EFI models will require re-calibration of the ECU.
Reduced maintenance (no plastic chain guides or tension shoes to wear and contaminate your engine oil or clog oil passages).
Cam timing remains constant. All drive and cam gears utilize a light press fit (gear lash) thus eliminating any chain stretch.
Bearing loads are reduced. No spring loaded chain tensioners are used (which can rob up to 4 horsepower).
Critical sprocket alignment is unnecessary.
Can be used with the OEM non-adjustable pushrods, but we suggest using our adjustable. pushrods to ease installation and eliminate the need to remove the fuel tank and rocker covers.

'It's better to be safe than sorry' is a common statement in the world of motorcycling, and is gospel when it comes to any performance work. After serious design flaws were found in the early keyed type rear cam drive, Harley-Davidson went to the updated spline design but failed to improve the material used in the gear. Andrews Products has designed their high strength heat treated alloy steel Cam Drive Kit to increase the gear to shaft strength. The OE style spacer has been eliminated and the involute spline width of the gear has been increased by approximately 1/4". The kit includes a Grade 8 mounting bolt with a hardened steel washer. Three spacer shims are also included to duplicate the OEM length. This kit is a must with any cam change. See section 10 for special tools needed to perform this gear change. JIMS BILLET ALUMINUM TAPPET BLOCK KIT FOR BIG TWIN EVOLUTION

A real improvement over the stock tappet and tappet block, this Chrome Plated Billet Aluminum Tappet block Kit from JIMS is CNC machined from billet 7075-T651 aluminum and has a tensile strength three times stronger than cast aluminum blocks. These tappet blocks are machined to the center line of the camshaft and hold a plus/minus of .002". In addition, the bores are held perpendicular to the mounting flange to .0002". These tappet blocks will accommodate a gross valve lift of .625" at the valves, which allows a clearance of .035 roller to block free play. The blocks will accommodate most small base circle cams having a lift of .655" or more with simple modification. Included in this kit are front and rear tappet blocks, four JIMS "Big Axle" PowerGlide Tappets, James Tappet Block Gaskets and Chrome Tappet Block Screws.
