Pro 1 oil pumps is the fact that they are designed to scavenge
oil quicker
from the lower end than the OE oil pump. Less oil on the flywheels
and rotating parts equates into limited oil drag resulting into
free horsepower. This high flow oil return helps to evacuate power
robbing
hot oil quicker. CNC machined to exact tolerance from 6061-T651
billet aluminum and then polished to a mirror finish makes these
extremely
pleasing to the eye. The feed and return gears are individually
matched to each body for maximum flow and the ports enter and exit
from the
bottom of the outer cover for the cleanest look possible. 1973/1980
models required the use of a crankcase oil passage drilling

The name Gerotor is derived from "Generated Rotor".
This unit consists of an inner and outer rotor instead of conventional
gears.
With this oil pump you will have an oil supply rate 1.6 times more
than OE.
Oil return rate 4.5 times greater than OE.
Oil pressure of 100 PSI when cold.
Oil pressure regulated to 23 PSI at 3000 RPM.
Oil pressure at idle is 12 PSI at 1100 RPM.

RevTech Oil Pump Kits
Features
include an improved oil pressure regulation system that ensures
perfect
oil control to all areas of the motor, especially during
the initial start-up. All the oil line fittings and mounting
hardware are chrome plated. The oil pump body and cover are highly
polished and have a redesigned smooth outer surface with counterbored
holes for the sockethead mounting hardware. The oil feed line
can be routed to the stock location at the top of the cover or directly
to the pressure gears through a fitting located at the bottom of the
cover. Engines 1970 thru 1980 will require a small drilling operation,
and 1970 thru 1972 engines will also need a plugging step. Each
kit includes all the snap rings, keys, gaskets, shaft, fittings, mounting
hardware (1/4"-24 early-style and1/4"-20 late style)and detailed instructions.
