With this recent phenomena, the wide tire has seemingly become a design standard, this can be seen more than ever since the release of the Avon 300. With the use of these monster tires comes the necessity for a right side drive transmission, which is exclusively offered through BAKER Drivetrain. These two products have since prompted quite a stir throughout the industry and have begun to dramatically transform what is possible with custom motorcycles. Now, using this momentum BAKER Drivetrain has created to ultimate customization, The BAKER 300, which will converge these two revolutionary design concepts into one harmonious, complete, package. The package will allow for anyone who wants to stay with a production bike to become a part of the Right Side Drive/Wide Tire Revolution. Debuting at Sturgis in August, Baker's newest endeavor will take the motorcycle industry by storm, by converting the ordinary Harley-Davidson Softail into a completely custom street ripping wide tire machine and do so through bolt on changes.

This design and concept is exclusive to BAKER Drivetrain, this is a not a copy or imitation. Within the BAKER 300 Wide Tire Kit, we will provide all of the structural, aesthetic, and drivetrain components needed to perform the wide tire conversion for under $7g's. As you would expect, per BAKER tradition, the entire package will be the perfect blend of form and function yielding a product superior to anything on the marketplace, creating a totally unique Harley-Davidson. To save the best for last, Baker will also debut our new premium Right Side Drive Direct Drive 6 speed transmission as the heart of the BAKER 300 Wide Tire Kit.

Super Wide Swingarm & Swingarm Kit for Twin Cam Softails - Zodiac

Due to the construction of the engine and transmission set-up of the Twin Cam Softail, it is not possible to offset the transmission to make room for 200 or bigger tires.  The Wide and Extra Wide swingarm kits enable you to mount up to a 250 monster tire in your stock Softail.  The Wide swingarm kit will accept 200mm tires on a 6-1/2" rim using the stock belt.  The Extra Wide swingarm takes 230mm wide tires on 8" or 8-1/2" if the wheel is slightly offset to the right or a final chain drive is used.  Kit contains a swingarm with wheel axle, a complete 12mm (0.472") or 25mm (0.984") primary offset kit, including primary spacer ring, crankshaft extension and extension nut, primary gasket kit, extended transmission main shaft and main drive gearing, extended  starter motor coupling and extended primary bolts.  Our trick caliper bracket enables you to use the stock rear caliper.  For 230 tires on a 15" steel rim, a small modification of the OEM caliper may be needed, 15" cast or billet wheels require the use of a custom rear caliper and 10" disc brake rotor.  Tabs for the belt guard are welded in place.

NOTE:  Do to the variety of wheels, fenders, fender struts and wheel spacers available, these are not included in the kit.

Wide Tire Swingarm Kit for Dyna models - Zodiac

These European-made complete wide tire conversion kits enable you to mount a 200 wide rear tire on a 6.25" wide rim (tire measures 8.66") in the stock Dyna frame and still keep the stock 1-1/8" drive belt without trimming.  If the wheel is slightly offset even 230 or 250 tires can be used.  The kit contains either raw or black powder coated extra wide swing arm, rear wheel axle, rear wheel axle adjusters, raw or powder coated fender struts that will take up to a 10-1/2" wide fender, extended upper shock mounting studs, a complete 25mm (0.984") primary offset kit with a primary spacer ring, crankshaft extension and crankshaft nut, extended transmission main shaft, extended main drive 5th gear with needle bearings and seal, extended belt pulley spacer, extended clutch push rod, splash guard, and spacers to offset the right hand side foot pegs and the exhaust.  Also included are two different brake caliper brackets to allow the use of either a 1991 through 1999 or 2000 through 2003 stock or aftermarket rear brake caliper. PRIMARY OFFSET KITS FOR 5 & 6 SPEED MODELS
INCLUDING DYNA TWIN-CAM & SOFTAIL TWIN-CAM - Zodiac

Contrary to Evolution models it is not possible to move the transmission on Twin-Cam models to the left as these models have the transmission bolted to the crankcase. The Zodiac off-set kit enables you to move your primary 12 or 25 mm without moving your stock or aftermarket 5 Speed transmission, or 25 mm when you have a 6 Speed Zodiac transmission or conversion. The kit comes with an extended transmission main shaft and extended transmission main drive 5th gear, leaving the transmission housing in exactly the same place but allowing you to offset the front final drive pulley 12 mm or 25 mm, thus creating space for a wide rear tire. And when we say wide we mean WIDE. The 12 mm off-set kit allows the use of a 200 tire with the stock belt in an Evolution or Twin-Cam frame, the 25 mm offset kit
allows a 230 wide tire on a 7.50 rim in both the Evolution and Twin-Cam frame if the late type “narrow” final drive belt drive is used. If a chain is used for the final drive the stock frames will accept up to 250 wide tires on a 9.00” rim. The transmission main shaft and main drive gear are CNC manufactured by one of the worlds leading automotive transmission factories. The material selected is a High Stress 20CrMnT gear steel. Gear and shaft are tempered and stress released to a core hardness of 35 to 45 Rockwell and have a surface hardness of 58 to 60 Rockwell. Our offset primary kits contain: primary spacer ring, extended crankshaft extension and extended crankshaft nut, extended transmission main shaft, extended main drive 5th gear with needle bearings and seal, extended belt pulley spacer, extended clutch push rod, extended starter jack shaft (only for 25 mm kit), starter jack spacer, primary-to-transmission spacers and all required hardware. When you have a 1991 thru 1993 model 5 Speed transmission you must order a countershaft 5th gear, extended starter jack shaft bolt and late style final drive pulley separately. Wide swingarm and fender struts must be
ordered separately.
